The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says a 58-year-old man critically injured in a crash Tuesday evening near Bentley has died.
Deputies say Clifford Bliss of Sedgwick was traveling northbound in a car on 167th West when he failed to stop at the stop sign at 109th Street North. His car was struck by a westbound semitruck.
The crash pushed his car into a drainage pond. Bliss was not breathing when rescue crews pulled him from the water.
He was taken by EMS to a Wichita hospital, but later died from his injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
