A 26-year-old man who had a felony warrant for violating his parole is in custody after a brief chase and crash.
It happened shortly after 5 p.m. in the 100 block of N. Ash. Wichita Police say the Department of Corrections went to an address to try to take the man into custody.
The man got into a Ford Fusion and tried to get away for a short time, but pulled over. He quickly changed his mind and drove off again.
It led to a brief chase with police that ended when he ran the stop sign at Douglas and Green and crashed into a Ford Explorer. The impacted caused the Explorer to flip over.
The driver of the Explorer went to the hospital with minor injuries. The suspect and a woman who was with him in the car were taken into custody and then transported to the hospital for treatment.
