Saint Asonia announced on Thursday they’re prepping to FINALLY release some new music this week, and it’s gonna feature Godsmack’s Sully Erna.

“The Hunted” will come out on Wednesday, and feature an appearance from Erna, who has also been featured on a song from Stitched Up Heart this summer.

“The Hunted” will be part of the band’s upcoming second album, which is due out some time later this year.

The band’s delay in releasing new music was partly due to some issues with their label at the time. They are now signed with Spinefarm.

Saint Asonia now comprises of ex-Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier, Staind’s guitarist Mike Mushok, Adam’s cousin Cale Gontier (from Art of Dying) now on bass, and Staind drummer Sal Giancarelli. The latter two have changed in the past couple years. The band achieved almost instant success with their first self-titled record in 2015. This will be the band’s first new music since then.

“This new album is a giant step forward for us in many ways. Of course, there’s those elements that have always been present in the music, like the heavy riffs and the vulnerability within the lyrics. But there’s also a completely new element that takes things to a different level. Our goal is to raise the bar on every record, so we’re incorporating a lot of different sounds and instruments on this one. For me, this is the best stuff I’ve written since 2005. I guess you’ll have to hear it to judge for yourself!” – Adam Gontier
