Until Wednesday, the only time anyone had heard LIVE’s song “Hold Me Up,” was live in concert (a rarity), or in the movie “Zach and Miri Make a Porno.”
It was tragically left on the cutting room floor while making their debut album “Throwing Copper,” 25 years ago. NOW… FINALLY… it will be released in a special anniversary box set of the album, which ALSO includes their set from Woodstock ’94.
Singer Ed Kowalczyk said of the song, “‘Hold Me Up’ was recorded during the Throwing Copper sessions but not included on the album due to the time limitations of the compact disc. In my view, the song is as good as any on the record, so it’s really exciting to finally get it out to our fans after all these years! It’s like opening a time capsule we buried in the yard back in 1993 and finding a totally kick-ass song in it!”
Agreed.
The Super Deluxe box Set of “Throwing Copper” will also include a 12-page booklet with in-depth interviews with the band.
It will be available July 19th.

LIVE will be at Hartman Arena with Bush on August 2nd, part of the ALTimate Tour. Both bands are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut albums.
