The Wichita State Shockers defeated Jacksonville State 69-65 Wednesday night.
Samajae Haynes-Jones scored 17 points to lead the Shockers while Markis McDuffie finished with 11 points and nine rebounds. A big surprise came with Jaime Echenique, who scored 12 points, shooting 6 of 8 with seven rebounds.
The Shockers move to 5-4 on the season. They play at Intrust Bank Arena Saturday at 4:30 p.m. against Southern Miss.
