So… Lemmy was a Jack and Coke guy. I’m a Rum and Coke guy. This seems like the best of both worlds for me.

A Motorhead, Dark rum, coming out just in time for Christmas – Sunday, Dec. 1. It’s like this was tailored just for me.

I can’t count the number of times I got drunk in college (or in my early journalism days) on rum, BLASTING Motorhead everywhere I could. Just something about a pirate’s choice in liquors brings out the inner Lemmy in me I guess.

Regardless, this has me ecstatic.

Here’s the official description:

“Motorhead Dark Rum is an eight-year aged Dominican dark rum with notes like aromas of dried fruit, vanilla, brown sugar, arrack and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and spicy with notes of chocolate, vanilla, oak and nuts, with a medium sweet, spicy finish. The barrels used for aging are old bourbon barrels, from which the aged rum is pulled as new rum is introduced, adding balance and a smooth finish to the liquor.”

 

That’s a lot of words to pretty much say “Motorhead Rum.” Honestly, that’s all I needed to hear.

So now, THIS sits atop my Christmas wish list for 2018, unseating the yearly request of the clapper.
