....Am sitting here listening to the Sex Slaves Wasted Angel cd....particularly like track 12 (Mexico) ...I like the way it haunts if that makes any sense at all.....I love baseball...this is my favorite time of year.....NFL on sundays....and MLB playoffs/World Series!!!!!....there is no greater game in my mind than baseball......its the only major sport in which a virtual no name can come off the bench and in a matter of mere seconds become a household name.....it has no clock......it takes me back to my childhood when i would immitate big leaguers because I was convinced they could do no wrong....I can remember like it was yesterday how magical (for lack of better terminology) it felt just to go to the ball park and soak it all in....baseball has a way of making us forget about all of the hassles and or problems in life we are dealing with....it takes us to a place that is untouchable......and thats what i love about it.....thanks for checking in! Rick

Rick
....I love a good quote....I mean how can anyone not?.....one of my personal faves goes something like this....."Music has always been a matter of energy to me....a question of fuel....senitmental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel...I am a serious consumer. On some nights i still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio." Hunter S. Thompson. How bout this one......"Life is ten percent of what happens to me and ninety percent of how i react to it"....John Maxwell. " People who never get carried away should be" and "Being right half the time beats being half right all the time" both by Malcom Forbes.....and of course "Twenty years from now you will more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade wins in your sails. Exlore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain Thanks as always for checking in! Rick
...I constantly have random and unexplainable thoughts that seem to streem out of the crevices of my subconscious at all hours....I have totally given up on trying to control or stop it so I often just kinda see what develops with them ....if that makes any sense at all....anyways as of this very second I am contimplating whose house it would be more fun to be at on Halloween.....Rob Zombie's or Ozzy Osbourne's....They both have their plusses and their minuses...I mean you know Rob has to have a hella cool film collection to say the least.....and Ozzy....well he is the Prince Of Darkness and all....not to mention he is...uhh....OZZY....then again, Rob would be much more apt to have incredibly hot scantily clad chicks hanging out serving up tuaca shots.....mmmm, do I smell pancakes? but think about the stories Ozzy could tell!!!!.....I mean, If i had to choose........If you had to choose what would you do? text me and tell me at 316 768 1010! Thanks as always for sliding by.........................Rick

....What's your favorite song? Your top 3 or 4? Do you recall where you were and what you were doing the first time you ever heard them?.....I have always believed there is nothing that even comes close to what hearing the right song at the right time can do to you....It can be boderline magical/insane/unforgettable/intense.....all in an outstandingly good way.......I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the very first time I heard Nothing Else Matters.....the same can be said for Stone Sour's Bother....I can recall in vivid detail being a small child and having my older brother introduce me to this band known as Iron Maiden....I can recall the very first time I heard Run to the Hills..and was mesmorized.....I can also recall in incredible detail being knee high to a grasshopper and hearing my dad tell me he just didnt understand why i was so excited about this "Pink Floyd thing"....truth be known.....I LOVE MUSIC.....to me there simply is no greater art form.....no better way to express......If I had to choose to give up my sight or my ability to hear music....I would invest in a good seeing eye dog......thank you as always for stopping by!!!! Rick

Tracey Christopher Smith was one of my closest friends when i was in college and after....I can tell you that you would search far and wide before you found a more loyal compadre.....no matter how far the chips were down, Tracey had a rather unique way of finding positive in almost anything....Tracey passed away last week due to complications from pancreatic cancer...I am not sad at this moment because much as he would i find the positive wherever i possible can....and the simple fact that I had the opportunity to get to know him when i did is something I can be thankful for.....Yes, I like many others that knew him I will miss him, there is no doubt of that....but the positive exists merely in the simple fact that I like many others take something valuable and unreplaceable with us as a result of knowing him....as a result of knowing him I will find myself often supporting the underdog when no one else will....much in the same manner he would......I will find myself taking the time that i before never had to call old friends, make new friends, and stop to pet a stray dog on occasion......much in the same manner as he would have.....I will not judge something externally but rather I will take note of actions....not appearence, or material.....He once told me many moons ago something i find impressive to this day....a group of us were sitting around a pub in Hays Ks....after a few rounds we started doing the everyone has to answer whatever question truthfully game...(who hasnt done this when half tanked with their friends ha)....one question that came up was: If you could eliminate any one thing from this world.....what would it be?".....most of us answered things like....sickness.....evil serial killers.....taxes.......etc etc.....when it was his turn to answer....Tracey said one word........Misery Thank you for stopping by as always........Rick
..........Wassup! I just heard the new Halestorm.....had heard it before but it's been a while.....anyways it is good!!!! as is the next Stone Sour release.......Michael Vick put on a show last night....say what you will about him.....but he has mad skills!!!!!...I watched the semi new Nicolas Cage film last night (The Bad Lieutenant)....one of Cage's best performances.....he was incredible...some would say maybe a little overboard on occasion but that's just what he does.....anyways I hope your Tuesday is going well....thanks for checking in! Rick
....Lets see....wednesday already.....seems like the closer we get to the holidays the faster the days fly by.....Fuel tonight at Americas Pub!!!! Kiing Me and Soulicit on the bill as well......should be a great show and I hope to see you there!.....Ok real quick like...on the count of three......funniest comic you have ever seen/heard......one....two.....three go.....who came to mind? I mean its not like there is a right or wrong answer......different strokes for different folks you know....I have a very short list of comics I think are some of the funniest people I have ever encountered......George Carlin of course ranks high on it.....I know this may sound insane....but Bill Cosby believe it or not.....if you have ever seen some of his stand up you would know he is absolutely beyond funny.....Charo is a riot....there is a guy outta Australia by the name of Jim Jeffries.....I stumbled across him on late night showtime......he is without a doubt going to be huge......you tube him and check him out when you get a chance....he is definitely gifted.....gotta go create chaos.....thank you as always for stopping by......Rick
...was at the Fuel show last night at Americas Pub....nice turnout....was great to see so many out on a wed night!....got a club gig tonight out on the west side!...will be at my usual stops over the weekend....hope to see you out!
...I just thought it was a funny title for a post.....ever feel like just blurting out something senseless and somewhat idiotic just to see what kinda reaction you will get?......Who hasnt?.....I feel like going to the movies today simply because I hanvent done so in a minute.....the last movie i saw at theatres was Machete.......I have no idea what is playing now that I would like to see....but I am sure there is something.....I did see that my girl Liz (God bless her) and her bandmates in Halestorm are kicking out a concert dvd soon.....I will definitely have to add it to my collection asap....anyways hope you have a great weekend! thanks for checking in as always......Rick
....Thankgsgiving just a few days out....are you ready to deal with the relatives?...lol...watched alot of football yesterday....(isn't that what sundays are for?)....speaking of which....I have absolutely nothing against Michael Vick....as far as his past goes he paid his debt....I'm not saying that makes what he did ok...I'm just saying he took the heat and paid his debt...I am a firm believer in second chances.....I think he is an extremely talented player...that's always been obvious.....but is he MVP material this year?.....It's way to early to jump on that wagon.....there is still 6 games to go...not to mention he missed several games due to injury already....One outstanding game doesnt lay claim to MVP.....I think even he would tell you that......time will tell...right now there are numerous candidates as far as i am concerned....any ways thanks for checking in as always! Rick
Kid Rock is comming to town!!!! I have seen him half a dozen times and still cant wait! He always puts on an incredible show....when I think of all the live shows I have seen over the years he easily ranks in the top 5...I was on his bus once in Kansas City bout 5 yrs ago....It was after his show and I was there along side of about 7 or 8 other people....we were all just hanging out swapping tales....it was pouring down rain and going on midnight....the bus was surrounded by at least forty or fifty autograph seekers......I will never forget this.....as I was exiting the bus I over heard Kid Rocks road manager say something to the extent of "we are behind schedule and gotta head to OK City right now....this very second".....Kid stepped up and said no can do...these people have been waiting outside in the rain for close to an hour....Im going to sign for everyone before this bus leaves here.....from that day forward I had a new found respect for Bob Ritchie......as always thanks for stopping by! Rick Thomas
