After 10 years, Amanda Berry and two others who were being held against their will, broke out of the home they were being held in Cleveland. He is hilarious!

  • Today: SUPERMAN talk!

This summer's movies have me ready for buckets of popcorn and boxes of Jujufruit! One on the top of my list is Superman Man Of Steel. This is gonna be awesome! I remember the old Christopher Reeves Superman movies, and I thought those were great! But this movie, like all the other re-boots, seems to put the lead character in more of a believable, "one of us" kind of settings. Todays story is focuses on Superman's flying, and how they tried to "real" it up. Click the movie poster for the full flight story. Superman comes out June 14th. Leave your Kryptonite at home.

  • Behind the scenes of the new STAR TREK movie

Admittedly, I am a Trekkie. Let me clarify. I'm not a "in my parent's basement" Trekkie. On a 1-10 chart, and basement dweller being a 10, I'm somewhere around a 3.5 on the chart. As a kid, I would watch the original series with my Dad, and have loved it ever since. (well, ecxept for Next Generation. I know, I know.... don't bitch) Anyway, part of what I love are the behind the scenes stuff. I had the official Star Trek Enterprise blueprints, and knew all about it! (let me guess, that last sentence put me at a 6 on the chart)

  • Best obit EVER!

As ya get older, you tend to look at obits in the paper. I guess it's because you wanna see why people your age kicked the bucket. Anyway, you sometimes stumble on something that's just too funny. You can't make this stuff up! This guy was a true "PLAYA"! In the April 30th Wichita Eagle, this one read as follows....

  • Wanna go to Mars? PERMANENTLY?

Check this out! Over 20,000 people have signed up to move to Mars on a permanent basis! This "trip" will take place in 2023. CRAZY! You don't even have to be an astronaut or have any "space" skills at all! Click HERE for the story, and click the picture for the Mars One website. ALL ABOARD!

  • Star Trek fans LOOK!

Preapared for boarding, the bridge from Star Trek: The Next Generation has been restored! The bridge sat for years after the show stopped production. A group of Star Trek fans decided it was time the world got to step onto the bridge and feel like they are on a major mission! Click HERE for the story and to see where it is in our Galaxy!

  • NFL Draft jerseys...

So when a guy gets picked to be on a team, he immediately has that teams jersey handed to him WITH his name already on the back! How tha, what tha? I have always wondered how that happens so damn quick. Well, the answer is pretty simple. Click HERE for the story.

  • Party ON Wayne!

When Wayne's World came out in 1992, I thought it was bizarre, weird, and wouldn't make it. But, my friends and I saw it 4 times, and it got funnier every single time. Now, 20 years later, the cast reunited, and they are still funnier than ever! Click HERE to read all about it, and see a video of the reunion. Party On Wane, Party On Garth!

  • Ozzy & Sharon divorcing or what?

Well, to find out the truth, who should you ask? The WIFE, DUH! Yesterday on the daytime TV show, "The Talk", Sharon Osbourne talked about the media frenzy regarding husband Ozzy's drug and booze addiction. Are they getting a divorce? Click HERE for the full story and the correct story directly from the boss of the house.

  • Where did "dead as a doornail" come from?

That "cliche" came from William Shakespeare! He may have died in 1616, but he is responsible for over 3,000 words, and countless cliches that we still use today! I know, you are probably wondering why I would write about Shakespeare, but I do love poetry and the English language, PLUS, today is Shakespeare's birthday!

  • Ren Fest MASS WEDDING 2013

This was the 1st time EVER for a mass wedding at the Great Plains Renaissance Festival, and it was awesome! I was joined on the field by the King & Queen, and their Royal Court. It was the Ren Fair's 10 year anniversary, so I joined, in Holy Matrimony, 10 couples! Last year, I did one single wedding in the fall, and this year we decided to do this big number to help celebrate their anniversary. We all had a great time, and who knows, we might do it again in the fall! The fall fest will be in October of this year.

  • PULL YOUR DAMN PANTS UP!

How many times have you said out loud, or muttered under your breath, "PULL YOUR DAMN PANTS UP"! Yeah, me too. I thought maybe it was just my age. Nope. Everyone screams it. My best friend is a very nice, white guy, who is a hard worker, fun to be around, etc, etc. HOWEVER, people always give him hell about his pants sagging. I personally think you can wear what you want, how you want, but at work, there needs to be a pinch of professionalism. Well, in a Parish of Louisiana, saggy draws have been outlawed. If caught, there are fines involved! Click HERE for the full story. If my buddy and I ever head to Louisiana, I'll remind him to put his ass away. "AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FUH DAT"!

  • Boston Marathon stories.....

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the heartless bombings at the Boston Marathon. I hope for swift justice on the people who did this. I have assembled a bunch of links today associated with the recent events.

  • Yea. It's tax day. Woo-hoo.

Oh boy. Time to pay tha man buh-zillions of dollars. Did you get em done? I FREAKIN FORGOT! On Sunday the 14th, I woke up, turned on the morning news, and then made an audible scream followed by a loud "OH SH*T"! I immediately jumped in the shower, grabbed all my stuff, and headed down to Liberty Tax at 13th & West. They have done my taxes for the past 6-7 years, and I'm sure by this point, they are used to my slow ass. I got there at 9am, and they didn't open until 1pm! So I went back at 12:15, to be in the front of the line, and they opened early for all of our late asses! 30 minutes later, I was out the door, and am now eagerly awaiting my refund.

  • Weird food addiction....

Years ago, my ex-wifes niece, at age 10-13, when I would hang with her, ate nothing but french fries. Ok, maybe she had cereal for breakfast, but lunch and dinner, you got it, french fries. Then, at some point, she expanded her palate and added chicken nuggets into her diet. Strange. BUT, it happens more often than you would think! Today, I ran across this.... a 18 year old girl in the UK has eaten nothing but Ramen Noodles for the past 13 years! I don't mind some ramen every now and then, but non stop? NO THANKS! Click HERE for her story, and I also have some links on other food disorders.

  • Smashing Pumpkins love to play BINGO?

Uh, weird. But it's true! Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins owns a tea shop and he now opens the place up monthly for a bingo game hosted by a local celebrity! My Grandma, who is 85, still drives herself to play bingo once a week, and a couple times a month heads with friends to play bingo 60 miles away! But now, BINGO is shifting to something fun for a younger generation. Look in the bingo parlors here in town, or at the casinos in Oklahoma, and sure you'll see old folks, but the crowds are starting to become more dotted with "20 something's"! It can be fun, it's fairly cheap to play, and you could win big! Click HERE for the story.

  • Playboy "Bunny House" is up for sale!

For years, "bunny's" have lived in the Bunny House just down the way from "The Mansion", and now, it's for sale! Got several million dollars laying around? If ya buy it, let me know! Check out the video below, and click HERE for the full story.
