I AM SUPER EXCITED! Today, Star Trek: Into Darkness has come out of warp speed and landed in theaters in the USA! I know.... I'm a partial geek. I don't care what you think. HA! From my days as a kid to now, I love a good ole' hot dog. Chili Dog, Cheese Dog, New York Dog, or plain ole ketchup & mustard dog... I love em all! And, there is even one hot dog that is no longer with us, R.I.P., and I want it back! Remember the "FRANK-N-STUFF"? It was a regular beef dog with a stuffed with chili! I WANT ONE AGAIN!! Well, I'll have to see if this new dog on the block stands up... Oscar Mayer has come out with 5 new hot dogs, and 4 of em are plain ole' dogs. Fat Free, Chicken, BLAH! And the 5th flavor??? B A C O N! YES! Bacon hot dogs! They say they will be available just in time for Memorial Day weekend!

Wow. This is one horrible story. Construction workers in Belize are in extremely hot water now! They were extracting rock for a road building project and in the process, destroyed a 2300 year old Mayan pyramid! Uhhh... oops. An investigation is underway. I should hope so! Star Trek INTO DARKNESS hits screens on May 16th.... THAT'S THIS THURSDAY! I can't wait. When the first "new" Star Trek came out, I was kinda pumped. I grew up my whole life with William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and the rest of the Enterprise crew, and didn't know if I would like the re-boot of a historic franchise. Wow was I wrong! This new world of Star Trek is incredible, and JJ Abrams did a fantastic job. Today, in addition to this bad-ass trailer, enjoy a couple great TREK links. When you have a long day at work, you're likely to go home and bitch about it. Or sit around with your friends and bitch about work. You do. We all do. It's just a fact. However, don't bitch on Facebook. It could get ya in trouble, or worse..... FIRED! I have seen this happen personally. Someone was complaining about what a chump their boss was, and yep, they got in a heap of trouble. We have to be careful on Facebook these days. You don't know who is watching, or maybe one of your "friends" on FB sees it, then tells a co-worker, then they tell someone else, then someone else, then someone else, and well, you get it. I know it's YOUR personal page, but it's out there for others to see, and your job doesn't like it when you bitch about them. So stick with the cute dog pix and you'll have no worries. HA!! After 10 years, Amanda Berry and two others who were being held against their will, broke out of the home they were being held in Cleveland. With the help of a "character" of a neighbor, these women busted out, and are now being treated in the hospital, and reunited with their families. Watch this news interview with the helpful neighbor. He is hilarious!

This summer's movies have me ready for buckets of popcorn and boxes of Jujufruit! One on the top of my list is Superman Man Of Steel. This is gonna be awesome! I remember the old Christopher Reeves Superman movies, and I thought those were great! But this movie, like all the other re-boots, seems to put the lead character in more of a believable, "one of us" kind of settings. Todays story is focuses on Superman's flying, and how they tried to "real" it up. Click the movie poster for the full flight story. Superman comes out June 14th. Leave your Kryptonite at home.

Admittedly, I am a Trekkie. Let me clarify. I'm not a "in my parent's basement" Trekkie. On a 1-10 chart, and basement dweller being a 10, I'm somewhere around a 3.5 on the chart. As a kid, I would watch the original series with my Dad, and have loved it ever since. (well, ecxept for Next Generation. I know, I know.... don't bitch) Anyway, part of what I love are the behind the scenes stuff. I had the official Star Trek Enterprise blueprints, and knew all about it! (let me guess, that last sentence put me at a 6 on the chart)

This was the 1st time EVER for a mass wedding at the Great Plains Renaissance Festival, and it was awesome! I was joined on the field by the King & Queen, and their Royal Court. It was the Ren Fair's 10 year anniversary, so I joined, in Holy Matrimony, 10 couples! Last year, I did one single wedding in the fall, and this year we decided to do this big number to help celebrate their anniversary. We all had a great time, and who knows, we might do it again in the fall! The fall fest will be in October of this year.
