    Law Enforcement Appreciation Day 2016

Today is national LAW ENFORCEMENT DAY, and I'm going to quickly tell you my opinion. The Wichita Police Department, Sedgwick County Sheriff Department, and KS Highway Patrol are...... AWESOME! I will say this. In my travels, I have seen other cities Law Enforcement bodies, and there is NO comparison to ours here at home. Say what you will, but it's true. We are lucky to have a great staff of men & women on our side. Are there times where a Law Enforcement person gets out of hand? Sure! But that happens in any job. One person can spoil the image of the whole place. But the majority are good ole people like you and me. AND like us, they have families. Families that have to deal with the anxieties on a daily basis of whether or not their loved one will make it home alive. We're lucky to not have that risk in our jobs. I have a bunch of friends who wear a badge here, even a cousin who recently retired. And these people take their job seriously. "To protect and serve". They genuinely care about this community, and strive to make it a better place. As we recognize LAW ENFORCEMENT day, take a moment to thank the next officer you see, and let them know how proud of them you are.

VIDEO: STP pays tribute to Scott Weiland

It's a fact with friends, family, coworkers, whatever. Sometimes you fight and argue. Sometimes you try to help someone who has gone to a dark place, but they either don't want the help, or it's too late. That was the case with STP and Scott Weiland. It got to the point where they had to fire him from the band, and hope for the best. That never happened, as Scott died from a combo of drugs and alcohol. The guys fron STP recently sat down to pay musical tribute to Scott, and it's awesome. Click HERE or the logo below to read all about it, and to watch the video.

    And the Grammy nominees are.....

HORRIBLE. Yep. Another year of Grammy's, and another year of suck. The prople who come up with the nominations for the Grammy's are a bunch of old, out of touch weirdos, and the stuff they come up with is odd. While there are a couple GOOD nominations, the rest are crap! There are bands we know, like Slipknot, Highly Suspect, Sevendust, Foo Fighters, etc. Click HERE or the pic below, and just look at what they think is rock music. You're gonna browse the categories, and say WTF? It's almost the same argument for the Hall Of Fame. Anyway, check it out, and get ready to shake your head. The Grammy's air in Feb on CBS.
